Taxonomy Web Parts
Flexible Taxonomy Presentation
Once your documents have been decorated with taxonomy meta-data, you need a way to present it to end users. Taxonomy Web Parts augment the built-in Sharepoint search web parts by providing two standard web parts:
Taxonomy Navigator displays one of four distinct views: tree view, table view, alphabetic table view and dropdown view. You can put multiple instances of Taxonomy Navigator web parts on a web page, each pointing at unique taxonomy field to add multi-faceted drill-down capabilities to the stock Sharepoint search controls.
Taxonomy Input Box provides a replacement for the standard Sharepoint query text box. It knows about the current taxonomy selection context and displays a clickable breadcrumb trail that allows users to navigate up and down the facet hierarchy. AR.WebParts complement the built-in Sharepoint search web parts. Also, since
AR.TaxonomyServer adds managed properties to the search index, you can use third party tools such as the CodePlex MOSS faceted search web parts.
